STORMVALE KENNELS is
situated at Mt. Compass approximately
75 kms south of Adelaide, South Australia in the McLaren Vale wineries area.
Born into the dog
world. My Grandmother bred Scottish Terriers and Sealyham
Terriers. I started handling my own dog at the age of 5 years, a
Sealyham called Ch. Warrigal Wide Awake. Monty to his friends with
whom I achieved my first Royal success winning Best Opposite Sex in Group at
the Adelaide Royal.
In 1962 my Husband and I registered the Kennel prefix STORMVALE with Welsh Corgi Pembrokes which we still breed today. 1970 we introduced Irish and English Setters which we bred and exhibited successfully for 15 years. 1984 we decided to scale down to smaller dogs and introduced the Border Terriers. I have been an All Breeds judge for some ten years, having judged all around Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the world. I have met and made many friends while on these judging appointments. 54 years later after my first Royal win I bred the Welsh Corgi Pembroke CH. STORMVALE STORM TROOPER who at 11 months won BEST EXHIBIT & BEST PUPPY in the Working Group and then went on for BEST PUPPY IN SHOW at the 2001 Adelaide Royal Show. To add to Stormvale success over the last 40 years both breeds have been versatile winning in both the Specialty and All Breeds rings. Special thanks to all the purchases of Stormvale dogs who have been successful in promoting my dogs and we wish you more success in the future. Dee Paterson (Licensed ALL BREEDS Judge) |
